Monday 30 January 2012 Welcome all, to Season 2012. The year Redfield Rugby "comes of age" as we celebrate 21 years since our debut in 1992. We have scored a good number of tries since Jerome Cox crossed the line for the first time playing our first competitive game in the under 6s. We have a big year lined up to commemorate the 21 years and will be needing many hands on deck to make it all happen. We want to surpass 2011 in achievements ... and it was huge! We have tours, balls, gala days, college days, coaching days, canteen days, photo days, presentation days ... and will even get to play some rugby as well. The first matter at hand is Registration Day, this Saturday at the school. REGISTRATION: Saturday 4th February, 10:00am to 2:00pm Forms were sent home during the week for the boys to bring along on Saturday. There is just one form required per family (given to the oldest son who played in 2011). If you didn't get a form, you can download and print a blank form from the web site, or there will be forms available to complete on Saturday at rego. The fee structure is a little different this year. We are asking $100 per boy from u8 to u12 and $120 for those playing ISA. The RED program, u6s and u7s will be free. The First XV will have additional costs regarding additional gear (to be determined later in the year). A limited number of Waratah back packs are available to those playing u6s to u9s! They will be given to the first ones to register on the day. First in best dressed! On the day shorts, socks, headgear and supporter's gear will also be available and we will be asking for payment of these items and the registration money on the day. Credit card facilities will be available. The other important date is 25 February — Waratahs vs Reds match. We are going as a group and tickets are $10 per person. Tell me if want tickets. ALL Redfield families and friends are welcome to apply. We are proud to announce a new major sponsor for the club. First Call Security (back to base installation and monitoring, etc., run by Paul and Donna Boddy), have stepped up to help the club with jumpers and training shirts. We are extremely thankful for their support. Please support them if at all possible. A new handbook will be printed this year before the season commences. It will include a "Directory of businesses" that we will promote at $100 per entry. We will pursue this with you on registration day, however you may know of other businesses not associated with the school or club who may like to be included. Please let me know.
